So how to sell your airgun for free? Well first try word of mouth to sell your airgun. If you are a member of your local airgun club ask other members if they are interested or know someone you can sell your airgun too.  If no one is interested in your airgun then the best way to sell your airgun for free is to get online & get the word out that your airgun is for sale.

Of course I hope you consider my blog sales categories as people looking for your exact model of airgun will be able to find it online. In addition to my site try looking for your model of airgun online. Click on the first few results & see if that site has a free or classified section. This is also a good way to gauge what a realistic price you can sell your airgun for is. You may be thinking why am I telling you how to sell your airgun on other sites in addition to my own? I don’t charge you to post your airgun ad so I’m not losing any money is the simple answer to that one.

Airgun Trader offers free sales space to both US & UK airgun & hunting related products, when searching for other sites to advertise on check that they cover the country you live in. Also read their small print to make sure free actually means free. Some sites may post your airgun ad free but expect a commission if it’s sold. Here at Airgun Trader free does mean free!

Writing that ad…

Try to include the make & model of the gun in the title & body of your ad, you want it to show in search engine results. Describe the condition & age of the airgun & what price you are selling it for. State what city / town and state / county you are in to help target more local potential buyers. If you live in the US put your state’s abbreviation in the title & town too if there’s enough space (not usually a problem if using my blog service to sell your airgun). Don’t put personal info like address & phone number in the ad, you don’t know who’s reading it. The best sites will have some kind of messaging system enabling both buyer & seller to ask questions before arranging any kind of meeting.

It’s also advisable to only sell your airgun face to face with a buyer & get them to co sign a receipt after you’ve checked their ID details. You don’t want to find your self unwittingly selling your airgun to someone underage or to someone that then gives your airgun to someone else who doesn’t use it in a responsible manner.
